Adventure biking is mountain biking away from the tourist trails. The Pyrenees is western Europe's largest wilderness area, offering superb possibilities for adventure biking, even on relatively short excursions of an hour or two from our village, and on full day adventures with picnic lunch in the wild.
We travel on forest trails and mountain tracks, slowly to enjoy the dramatic scenery. On certain days we put the bikes in a jeep to get up to higher altitude and use the bike back down. We stay away from walkers whenever possible, in order not to disturb, they usually use separate footpaths.
You can bring your own mountain bike, or hire one locally in Vernet-les-Bains (subject to availability - pre-booking highly recommended - and required for accommodation.
