Itinerary 1: The Fenouilledes tour 160 km 1 day

Les Orgues de Ille sur Tet Leaving your accommodation at Vernet les Bains the route takes the N116 to Prades and Ille-sur-Têt. From here you take the road to Montalba stopping off at the spectacular “Orgues d’Ille-sur-Têt”. From here you cross the mountain range to Caramany with a further stop to take in the breathtaking views over the reservoir towards “Les Fenouilledes”.

One of the jewels of the Fenouilledes crown is the virtually undiscovered Roman Aqueduct at Ansignan, still operation to this day. The tour takes in this monument before moving onto the Gorge de Galamus. Lunch is taken on the route to Bugarach before returning to Vernet via Caudies de Fenouillèdes, Sournia and the spectacular ride down to Prades.
